The website crashed despite organisers assuring the public at Wednesday's launch that the site would be able to manage the heavy traffic expected.
Caribtix.com, the linked website to which persons were redirected, was also experiencing difficulties.
Buju's Long Walk to Freedom tour will kick-off at the National Stadium in Kingston on March 16.
The launch took place Wednesday evening at the Spanish Court hotel in Kingston.
Buju Banton's team has assured fans that tickets for the concert are still available.
