'Fab 5' founder, Conroy Cooper, dies

Culture and Entertainment Minister Olivia Grange has expressed sadness at the death of Fab 5 band founder, Conroy Cooper.
Miss Grange described Mr. Cooper as an exceptionally talented musician, producer, composer and arranger, whose contribution to the development of Jamaican music has been immense.
Mr. Cooper was instrumental in introducing Jamaican music to new audiences abroad when he led the first tour of Germany by a Jamaican band, the Reggaes which later became Fab 5.
He was also a key figure in advertising, theatre and studio performances. 
He was 74 years old.
