Khadijah Robinson is Miss Jamaica World 2018

Khadijah Robinson has been crowned Miss Jamaica World 2018.

Robinson, a physiotherapist, held off stiff competition from 15 other ladies to walk away with the opportunity to represent Jamaica at the global pageant in Sanya, China, in December.

Robinson, 23, also won sectional prizes for most photogenic, best gown and social media favourite.

Her stunning silver gown, created by breakout fashion designer Rednarim, gave him the Golden Scissors award for his creation.

First runner-up Issia Thelwell impressed the audience and judges with an eloquent and heart-felt response to her question about why she should become Miss Jamaica World.

Third place went to Catherine Harris, who was also voted the most improved contestant.

The Miss Jamaica World 2018 grand coronation show was held at The Jamaica Pegasus hotel in New Kingston, and featured performances by the Ashe performing arts group and 2017 Digicel Rising Stars winner Short Boss.
