Lisa Hannah under fire for suggesting ban on Vybz Kartel music

Lisa Hanna, Member of Parliament for St. Ann South Eastern, has come under fire for comments she made about incarcerated dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel.
In an interview recently, Ms Hanna stated that the deejay's music should be banned from local airwaves because of its violent content.
She also questioned his ability to record new music behind bars, citing possible corruption.
Since voicing her opinion, the MP has received backlash including rape and death threats.
The actions of Kartel supporters have forced the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) to warn the public that is a criminal offense to make threats via social media under the Cybercrimes Act.
Vybz Kartel was convicted for murder in 2014, but many have since suggested that the deejay continues to record behind bars.
It is alleged that this sparked the transfer of the deejay to a maximum security prison.
