Miss Jamaica World stages talent fast-track

The fast-track eliminations for the 2018 Miss Jamaica World Competition are underway with the first being held on Monday night at the Phoenix Theatre in New Kingston.
 
The sixteen contestants competed in the talent fast-track competition, for a chance to earn an automatic spot in the top 10, at the grand coronation set for September 1 at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel's ballroom.
 
Contestants showcased their various talents in the form of singing, dancing and spoken word.
 
At the end of the night Shanique Salmon, Miss Hilda's Wine Jelly, won the competition singing Adele's When We Were Young
 
Second place went to Amaya Lewis, Miss Autocraze, who performed a cultural dance number while Miss Absolute New York Tamaya Henry, took the third-place spot for singing a reggae piece, Island Girl.
 
The Miss Jamaica world beauty with a purpose fast-track events will also be in the categories of fitness, model and beach beauty.
