R. Kelly charged for sex crimes in Minnesota

R. Kelly has been charged with more sex crimes - this time in Minnesota.

Prosecutors say the disgraced singer once paid a teenage girl to have sexual contact with him in his hotel room.

The alleged incident occurred on July 11, 2001 in Minneapolis when the alleged victim was 16.

The victim initially approached Kelly seeking an autograph.

Kelly reportedly paid her $200 to get naked and engage in sex acts with him.

Prosecutors are charging Kelly with engaging in prostitution with someone under 18, and hiring, offering or agreeing to hire someone for sexual contact.

Kelly's lawyer has called the new charges absurd.
