Diamond selling dancehall star Shaggy is to be inducted into the Council of Voluntary Social Services Hall of Fame.
He has for 10 years supported the Bustamante Children’s Hospital.
A new member is selected every two years for dedicated and significant contribution to national development through volunteerism.
Shaggy presented $55 million in proceeds to the Bustamante Children’s Hospital, raised at the 2016 Shaggy & Friends Concert.
Since its inception, the concert has raised over $255 million to acquire 450 pieces of medical equipment to treat more than 77,000 children each year.
The induction will take place on Thursday at an awards ceremony at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, where Prime Minister Andrew Holness will be guest speaker.
