Shaggy's 'It Wasn't Me' featured in Middle Eastern ad

Dancehall artiste Shaggy's 2000 mega hit It Wasn't Me is the gift that keeps on giving.

One of the largest banking groups in the Middle East, Emirates NBD has launched a fraud-awareness campaign, using music to drive home the message.

The company has released a two-minute-long commercial featuring a remix to Shaggy and Rikrok's 2000 global hit, It Wasn't Me

It Wasn't Me propelled Shaggy to the status of international music icon, topping charts in Australia, Austria, France, Ireland, the United States, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Shaggy continues to promote the genre with the help of British rocker Sting, bringing their A game to NPR's latest Tiny Desk Concert, performing hits from their Grammy winning album 44/876.

Additionally, Shaggy's latest solo album Waah Gwaan peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Reggae albums chart.

The project was released in May.
