As news of the death of basketball legend Kobe Bryant spread, reactions continue to pour in.
Bryant died Sunday morning when his private helicopter crashed in Calabasas, California. Eight others on board, including his 13 year old daughter, Gianna, were also killed.
Sunday night's Grammys, which was held at the Staples Center where Bryant played for 20 years, started on a sombre note with a mini tribute from host Alicia Keys and Boyz II Men.
Several other performers, including Lil Nas X, DJ Khaled, Lizzo and Run-DMC paid tribute to the star during the ceremony.
There have been tributes from as far away as the Philippines where a new basketball centre named after Bryant opened just hours before his death.
In basketball games held Sunday night, teams showed their respect to the fourth overall highest scorer in NBA history, with 24 second and 8 second shot clock violations.
A minute's silence will be observed at all basketball games in all categories for a week in Italy where Kobe spent his early childhood.
