Whitney Houston's movie 'The Boodyguard' celebrates 30th anniversary with return to US theaters

Whitney Houston's classic movie The Bodyguard will celebrate its 30th anniversary by heading back to US theaters.

Fans will be able to re-watch the 1992 drama on November 6 and 9, with tickets going on sale on September 28.

The Bodyguard sees Houston playing the role of pop icon Rachel Marron, as she navigates an obsessive stalker, sending her disturbing threats.

The film received widespread critical and public acclaim, producing one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time.

Houston's exceptional vocal performance on I Will Always Love You earned her two Grammy Awards.

The Bodyguard's 30th anniversary comes just months ahead of the highly-anticipated release of the biopic I Wanna Dance with Somebody, which hits theaters on December 21.
