Age limit increased for importation of motor vehicles

The Trade Board has revised the age limit for the importation of motor vehicles.

In a release Thursday afternoon, it said effective immediately, the new age limit for the importation of motor cars and station wagons has increased from five to six years.

Douglas Webster, Chief Executive Officer at the Trade Board, said this means that come January 1, dealers and individuals can still import 2014 sedans and station wagons.

The limit for small trucks, panel vans and window vans has increased from six to 10 years.

The Trade Board said dealers and individuals will be able to import 2009 small trucks, panel vans and window vans.
