Boost for tourism as Star Clippers set to sail to Jamaica

Jamaica's tourism sector is to receive another boost, with news that tall ship cruise line, Star Clippers, is planning its first sailings to Jamaica.

Star Clippers said the vessel, Star Flyer, will operate an eight-day Caribbean crossing, departing from Montego Bay on March 31, 2014 and including a stop in Port Antonio.

Star Clippers operates three of the world’s largest and tallest sailing vessels. It visits ports often untouched by larger cruise ships and offers passengers the activities, amenities and atmosphere of a private yacht. It is recognised as one of the premier specialty cruise lines.
