BPO provider Alorica to expand in Jamaica

Global BPO provider Alorica is gearing up to expand to three times its current size in Jamaica as it will be renting out 112,000 square feet of space in the Tech Park.

The company intends to expand its workforce to between 3,500 and 4,500, from its current team of  900.

The current team occupies 50,000 feet of  space in Portmore.

The expanded facility is expected to be operational by the end of  this month.

The BPO company is currently in the process of  outfitting the space, following the signing of  a lease with Stanley Motta.

Once all space available is leased, the Tech Park is expected to create BPO jobs for about 5,000 Jamaicans.
