A new study conducted by Cable.co.uk has found the Caribbean wanting in terms of average broadband internet speeds measured across 200 countries.
The highest ranking Caribbean country was Barbados with an average broadband speed of 17.08 megabits per second and an overall ranking of 39 globally.
It was ranked third in the Americas after the US and Canada.
Jamaica ranked fourth in the CARICOM with an average broadband speed of 8.12 megabits per second.
The lowest ranked CARICOM member was Haiti with an average broadband speed of 2.42 megabits per second.
