Consider St. Mary for BPO investments, businessman urges

Potential investors - particularly those in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector – are being urged to seriously consider St. Mary as their next investment location.

Jeffrey Hall, Chief Executive Officer of Jamaica Producers Group, the largest private investor in St. Mary, is leading the effort to attract additional investments in the north eastern Jamaica parish.

Mr. Hall says, while agriculture remains viable in St. Mary, the parish is ready to transition to other sectors, citing business process outsourcing as a key target.

St. Mary is also seeking to increase its tourism investments, positioned as it is between St. Ann and Portland, two parishes which are generally more widely known for the visitor trade.

Mr. Hall cited improvements to the parish’s roads as one of the key factors in making it more investor friendly.
