Consumer confidence in the country has declined to its lowest level in the past year.
This is based on the Jamaica Conference Board's first quarter Business and Consumer Confidence Indices.
However, the results show that consumer confidence has remained more favourable than in the prior decade with the exception of one survey.
A preview of the indices show that economic confidence among Jamaican firms has remained largely unchanged during the past five quarters.
Firms were asked their opinion about increased business taxes to meet the country's financial needs.
Details of the first quarter business and consumer confidence indices will be released tomorrow.
