Digicel has told its potential shareholders that it faces the risk of more competition in many of its markets.
In regulatory filings, the telecoms company said additional licenses may be awarded to new entrants, especially in markets with only two providers.
Digicel did not identify any of the markets in which it could face increased competition from a new entrant.
The company, which started in Jamaica in 2001, now operates in 31 countries in the Caribbean and the Pacific region. It has more than 13 million subscribers in those markets, offering mobile, business solutions, cable television and broadband services.
