Four female entrepreneurs have each been awarded a $250,000 grant that will be used to improve the capacity of their businesses and get them on the path to formality.
The funds will be disbursed during the course of the next fiscal year, under the Women's Entrepreneurship Support Project.
The grant is part of a wider collaborative initiative by the Ministry of Gender, the Ministry of Industry and Commerce and the Jamaica Business Development Corporation.
