Golden Krust bakery to stage candlelight vigils for Lowell Hawthorne

Golden Krust Caribbean Bakery and Grill is staging two candlelight vigils to celebrate the life of its founder Lowell Hawthorne who died tragically last Saturday.
The vigils will be held concurrently in Jamaica and the United States.  
The vigil in Jamaica will be held at the Undercroft at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus. 
Since 2011, Mr. Hawthorne served as Director/Chairman of the American Foundation for The University of the West Indies (AFUWI). 
The foundation, based in New York, has been the principal link between The UWI and partners in the United States, including alumni, the Caribbean community and business interests. 
The vigil in the United States will be held at the first Golden Krust location ever opened at East Gun Hill Road, Bronx, New York.
