Gov't proposes to spend $8 billion more this fiscal year

The Government of Jamaica is proposing to spend an additional $8 billion for this fiscal year.
 
The information is contained in the Second Supplementary Estimates tabled in the House of Representatives on Tuesday.
 
The Estimates show that the Budget has been increased from $851 billion to $859 billion.
 
Recurrent expenses have moved from $779 billion to $787 billion.
 
Capital spending remains the same at $72 billion.
