Jamaica National Building Society (JNBS) is reporting increased use of its online banking portal, which was upgraded last month.
The LIVE by JN portal allows members to conduct transactions, including bill payments, transfers to JN accounts, and local commercial banks, wire transfers and purchase foreign exchange.
According to Earl Jarrett, JN General Manager, during the period April 1, 2013 to March 31 this year, there were 403,666 ,valued at $4.7 billion.
The portal is now compatible with a range of mobile devices, he added.
Jamaica National has also applied to become a member of the Swift Network, in order to improve the efficiency of wire transfers, given a 75 percent growth in transactions.

In the meantime, JN has restructured the role of its branch managers. Their titles have been changed to Business Sales and Relationship Advisors.
The aim is to increase interaction in communities as well as offer personalised and financial services to members and prospective customers, Mr. Jarrett explained.
