In trading Tuesday, the JSE Index declined by 122 points to close at 153,377.
The Junior Market Index was almost unchanged closing at 2,158.
There was trading in 42 stocks, of which 18 advanced, 16 declined and eight traded firm.
Ciboney Group was the volume leader, followed by Jetcon and Cable & Wireless.
