The Jamaica Stock Exchange (JSE), is on track to regain the title of the number one performing stock exchange.
According to Managing Director, Marlene Street Forrest, the JSE is currently at second place but that's expected to change before year end.
She also said that the JSE is prepared to help the local financial sector navigate financial technology developments like bitcoin.
Meanwhile , listed company Indies Pharma is reporting increased profit for the nine months ended July 31.
The company recorded net profit of $118.2 million - a 48 per cent increase over the same period last year.
Indies Pharma's revenue rose by 28 per cent to end the period at $575.8 million.
