Palace Resorts announced Thursday that Moon Palace Jamaica will expand its footprint in the island.
The hotel brand will design and construct a new property with an additional 750 rooms.
The project, which is a US$270 million investment, follows the purchase of the Rooms on the Beach property in Ocho Rios, St. Ann.
Additionally, the company has committed to working with the Urban Development Corporation to fast track the development of Ocho Rios.
The blueprints for the redesigned town include a pier with a multitude of dining options, a renovated public beach, a boardwalk, snack bars, as well as a sand-based football field and an open-air craft market featuring local artisan items.
