NCB says it won't implement new fees on foreign drafts, e-transactions

National Commercial Bank (NCB) says it will not implement the recently announced increased fees for foreign drafts and new charges to be applied to electronic transactions.
The fees and charges were scheduled to take effect on May 1.
This follows criticisms from Fitz Jackson, Member of Parliament for St. Catherine Southern.
Mr. Jackson argued that the announced increases reinforced the point that the provisions of the Banking Services Act and the code of  conduct promulgated by the Bank of Jamaica do not offer protection to bank customers.
