Oil prices fluctuate

Oil prices flipped between modest losses and gains on Thursday, after a drop to the lowest level in a month, as a weekly decline in U.S. crude production helped to offset pressure from a surprise weekly rise in U.S. supplies.  
   
West Texas Intermediate crude added a penny to $45.73 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange after a drop to a one-month low a day earlier.
