Oil prices rise as US-China trade talks ease fears

Oil rose two per cent on Friday after proposed trade talks between the United States and China eased some fears about a global economic slowdown, but gains were capped after the United States reported a sharp build in refined product inventories.
U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 94 cents to $48.03 a barrel.
