Palace Amusement says the closure of cinemas has resulted in significant losses over the last three and a half months.
The listed company says it has substantial standing charges to maintain.
Palace Amusement has obtained interim financing from its bankers to help meet some of its obligations.
In addition, all cinema employees, totalling almost 300 people, have been laid off.
News came Wednesday that the Government of Jamaica has approved the conditional reopening of cinemas for 14 days, effective this Sunday.
