Parliament approves Supplementary Estimates of Expenditure for financial year

The House of  Representatives last night approved the first Supplementary Estimates of  Expenditure for the 2018/2019 financial year.
 
This gives the Government clearance to spend an additional $17.42 billion   this fiscal year.
 
The budget has been increased from $773. 6 billion  to $791.1 billion .
 
Recurrent expenses have moved from $560 billion to $572.46 billion  .
 
In terms of  capital or development spending it has been increased by $5 billion  to $218.64 billion .
