Paulwell urges persons to access to Energy Fund

Phillip Paulwell, Minister of Science, Technology, Energy and Mining, is urging persons to access the Energy Fund which is being operated by the Development Bank of Jamaica. The Government has allocated more than J$360 million dollars in the 2013/2014 Budget to support energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Residential customers can access up to J$3 million dollars, which is payable over eight years.  But according to Mr. Paulwell not enough takers are accessing loans from the Energy Fund.
