The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica (PCJ) on Thursday signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the University of Technology (UTech) that will see 100 facility and property managers in the public sector being trained in energy auditing through the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Programme (EECP).
The training will facilitate the development of critical technical skills which will support the PCJ's thrust to lower the public sector's energy consumption.
The aim of this capacity building is to ensure the sustainability of energy efficiency projects executed at Government of Jamaica facilities under the EECP.
Training will be delivered through three-day workshops on September 19–21 and October 31–November 2, 2018.
