St. Kitts and Nevis urges public to reduce plastic use

The government of St. Kitts and Nevis has urged the public to reduce their use of plastics in their everyday lives, as plastic pollution is one of the biggest environmental challenges on human, plant, animal, and marine life.
Danielle Taylor Williams, Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, says they have started the initiative called Plastic Free July, while at the same time, encouraging people to be more aware of their plastic use.
Last month, St. Kitts and Nevis joined the rest of the world to observe World Environment Day under the theme, Beat Plastic Pollution.
