Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett and a high-level team of tourism officials will be engaging in a series of meetings overseas with key international stakeholders.
This forms part of the ministry's strategy to aggressively target new and traditional markets, to attain double-digit growth and promote Jamaica as the ideal winter tourism destination.
Mr. Bartlett made the announcement during a press briefing at the Ministry of Tourism's New Kingston on Wednesday before leaving the island.
He shared that increased marketing efforts in Canada have proven successful following a decline in arrivals from that country in 2015.
The tour started in North America last week, without Mr. Bartlett.
He will be attending Tourism EXPO Japan as well as the Jamaica Tourist Board's Jamaica Travel Market in London later this month.
The Tourism Ministry said a full report of the tour, which ends in October, will be presented in November.
