Trinidad and Tobago's foreign reserves decline

Trinidad and Tobago's foreign reserves declined to US$8.5 billion at the end of September, comprising less than ten months of import cover.
According to the Central Bank's data centre, at that figure, the country's foreign reserves are at their lowest level since May 2008.
Between September 2016 and September 2017, T&T's foreign reserves declined by 15 per cent or by US$1.5 billion from US$10 billion.
