tTech says January to March profits affected by appreciation of Jamaican dollar

Listed company tTech says the appreciation of the Jamaican dollar to the US currency adversely affected its profit in the January to March quarter.

It ended the three months with $758,000 profit versus $6.7 million during the same period last year.

tTech's revenue also declined 4.8 per cent to $66.5 million.

The company says work-in-progress and the impact of new accounting standards affected revenue recognition for some of its services.
