The US economy added 130,000 jobs last month, slowing more than expected.
Economists had expected an increase of 158,000.
In July, the economy had created 159,000 new jobs.
The unemployment rate was unchanged at 3.7%, while average hourly earnings growth rose 3.2% from last year.
