Work on Ian Fleming airport to begin Monday

Work to expand Ian Fleming International Airport in Boscobel, St. Mary, to make it a regional hub, is expected to begin on Monday.
This was revealed by National Security Minister Robert Montague at the ground-breaking ceremony for the construction of a new police station in Port Maria, on Wednesday.
Mr. Montague said there are two applications from airlines wanting to be based at Boscobel.
Under the project, the terminal building will be expanded and the runway widened.
Phase two includes lengthening the runway, which will be going across the highway with a box culvert, so the planes will taxi across the highway.
