130 killed in 120 fatal crashes so far this year

One hundred and thirty people have been killed in 120 fatal crashes since the start of this year.  
  
Fatal crashes and fatalities have decreased by nine per cent and 14 per cent,  respectively, when compared with the corresponding period in 2016.  
 
Pedestrians account for 26 per cent of the road users killed since the start of the year while motorcyclists account for 29 per cent of those killed for the period.

Clarendon, St. Ann, Westmoreland and St. Catherine account for 55 per cent of the overall fatalities.
