Additions might be made to PNP's report on election defeat

Changes might have to be made to the report submitted by the 13 member appraisal committee which assessed the People's National Party's (PNP) defeat in the February 25 general election.

The committee's findings were presented and accepted at Sunday's meeting of the Party's National Executive Council (NEC).

According to PNP Deputy General Secretary Julian Robinson, there were spirited discussions at the meeting regarding the findings.

He says the feedback will be assessed and a determination made as to whether there should be an addendum.

The appraisal committee highlighted arrogance among some key Party functionaries as a contributory factor to a breakdown of  the PNP's election machinery.

It also said the party's message did not communicate hope, was incoherent and exacerbated by the decision to raise the issue of then Opposition Leader Andrew Holness' house during the campaign.
