The Ministry of Agriculture will be partnering with municipal corporations to speed up implementation of the National Farm Road Rehabilitation Programme.
J.C. Hutchinson, Minister without portfolio in the Agriculture Ministry, said the ministry intends to sign a memorandum of understanding with local authorities, which will see the entities carrying out road scoping.
He said the partnership will help to reduce the lengthy process in getting farm roads rehabilitated.
Mr. Hutchinson said once the roads have been identified as farm roads by the Rural Agricultural Development Authority (RADA), the scoping will be done by the municipal corporations.
