Airports to close; Cruise ships turn away from the island

Jamaica's international airports are to close as Tropical Storm Sandy churns towards the island.

The Norman Manley international airport in Kingston is expected to close at 7am and the Donald Sangster International airport at 9am.

Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd.  reportedly announced that its Allure of the Seas megaship would not stop at Jamaica’s northern Falmouth terminal today but will  instead remain at sea.
