For the second time in a week, the Jamaica Customs Agency has made a large drug seizure.
A statement last night from the agency, said the latest seizure took place on Tuesday at the Sangster International Airport.
During a routine scanning of outbound cargo, members of Jamaica Customs' Contraband Enforcement Team and the Jamaica Constabulary Force's Narcotics Division found 4.6 pounds of cocaine in packages concealed in eight tins of mackerel.
The cocaine was valued at $3.1 million .
Two persons were arrested.
The operation followed a ganja seizure at the Port of Kingston on November 2.
Teams confiscated fifteen package containing one thousand 156 pounds of ganja valued at $5.7 million .
