April trial set for woman charged for cyber crimes

The trial of a St. Elizabeth business woman who is charged under the Cyber Crimes Act is scheduled to commence in the St. Elizabeth Parish Court on April 17 next year.
The trial date was set when she appeared in court on Wednesday.
Shantel Ledgister, a 26 year old business woman of Black River, who is accused of fleecing several persons of thousands of dollars using the computer, had her $500,000 bail extended.
Ms Ledgister is facing several counts of fraudulent conversation and obtaining obtaining money by means of false pretense.
