Ashley calls for more anti-corruption laws

Dr. Paul Ashley
Political commentator Dr. Paul Ashley has called for additional anti-corruption laws.
Dr. Ashley argues that not all acts of corruption are recognised by Jamaica's criminal laws.
"If the acts of corruption are not recognised by our criminal law, then it doesn't matter how corrupt it is.... It's like Petrojam. There's no evidence to suggest any corrupt law under Petrojam was violated," he contended.
He asserted that until these practices are defined and addressed by criminal laws, there will be no accountability, and therefore, no end to corruption.
