Barbados inspired by Jamaica Moves campaign

The Jamaica Moves campaign has inspired a regional movement with Barbados Moves being the first to be launched.
 
Jamaica's health minister, Dr. Christopher Tufton, was in Barbados for the launch yesterday.
 
Barbados Moves will be the country's national approach in the fight against non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
 
It's aimed at ensuring that all Barbadians know their health status, engage in at least 30 minutes of physical activity daily and have healthier meals.
 
NCDs reportedly account for three out of four deaths across the Caribbean.
 
Leaders from across CARICOM launched the Caribbean Moves campaign under the tagline 'Step it Up', during the United Nations General Assembly late last month.
