Body of Paul Bogle High student washed away by flood waters found

One of the three students who was washed away in Cheswick in Dalvey, St. Thomas Tuesday evening has been found dead. She has has been identified as 13 year old Brittany Cohen, a student of Paul Bogle High.
     
One of the three students was rescued Tuesday night, while the other managed to free herself from the flood waters.
     
Reports are that Brittany got into difficulty after her school bag fell in the water from a flooded drain and she tried to retrieve it.
    
Her body was found Wednesday morning by residents.
 
Meanwhile, The Ministry of Education will be providing grief counselling to students at Paul Bogle High.
 
Byron Buckley, Director of Corporate Communication at the Ministry of Education, Youth and Information expressed condolences on behalf of the Ministry to the relatives, school mates and teachers of the student. 
 
According to him, "the Ministry has dispatched a trauma team and they attended the school right through this morning, and will continue to do so as long as is necessary to try and ease the emotional hurt that's affecting the school community."
