Bunting comes out in support of PNP corruption protests

Peter Bunting

People's National Party (PNP) presidential aspirant and Member of Parliament for Manchester Central, Peter Bunting, has said he is in full support of the party's protests against corruption.

The second protest was held Thursday morning in Montego Bay, St. James.

There was speculation that Mr. Bunting boycotted the first protest last Thursday in Mandela Park, St. Andrew.

However, he has said he "looks forward" to participating in the protest when it reaches central Jamaica and will be organising his own constituency and the parish of Manchester to participate.

"In the meantime, as I go around the country on the Rise United campaign, I will seek every opportunity in all 14 parishes to engage civil society and stakeholder groups, whether in townhall settings, classroom meetings, to continue to build a coalition against corruption in this country," he said.
