CARICOM vows to take unified position on climate change

CARICOM has pledged to take a unified negotiating position as it relates to global climate change.
Representatives from the regional grouping are attending the 24th session of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change which opened Sunday in Poland.
CARICOM fine-tuned its negotiating positions at a recent meeting held in Bridgetown, Barbados ahead of the convention.
Trevor Prescod, Barbados Minister of Environment and National Beautification, encouraged the regional negotiators to approach the conference mindful of the "Declaration on Climate Action" adopted by CARICOM Heads of Government in Montego Bay last July.
