Case of teenager accussed of trying to join ISIS transfered to St. Mary Resident Magistrate's Court

The matter involving the Jamaican teenager accused of  trying to join terrorist group ISIS has been transferred from the Family Court to the St.  Mary Resident Magistrate's Court.

When the matter came up on Tuesday, a Magistrate in the Family Court said she had no jurisdiction over the matter.
The 15 year old who was detained on April 12, will remain in custody.
His legal team is considering filing a constitutional challenge to his continued detention by the State.The attorneys are looking at challenging the continued detention of  the teenager without charge.
  

The teenager was taken into custody after he was denied entry into Suriname. It is alleged that he was trying to travel to the Netherlands then to Turkey. 
This has been denied by his family and attorneys.
