Fayval Williams
Following recommendations from the Petrojam Review Committee for clarity on the formula used to make weekly adjustments to petrol prices, changes have been made to the refinery's pricing committee.
Energy Minister Fayval Williams said this will ensure greater transparency.
The pricing committee now comprises representatives of the Energy and Finance ministries as well as the Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR).
Mrs Williams said the committee has started weekly meetings with minutes taken.
New Petrojam HR Manager
In the meantime, the Energy Minister said a new Human Resource Manager will soon take up duties at Petrojam.
Petrojam's former Human Resource Manager, Yolande Ramharrack, resigned last year amid controversy over the manner in which she was hired and her $15 million annual salary.
